To check your GST ARN status, open the GST portal’s Track Application Status page at services.gst.gov.in/services/arnstatus. Choose Registration, enter your ARN and the captcha, and click Search. You do not need to log in, and it is free. The result shows how far your application has gone, for example Pending for Processing, Pending for Clarification or Approved. From the gst.gov.in home page, the same page is under Services > Registration > Track Application Status.
Free. No login needed.
The portal tells you a stage. It does not tell you what that stage means for you, or what happens if you do nothing. This page explains how to read the status and what to do at each one.
Not applied yet? We handle the filing, the documents and any officer query from GST registration, starting at ₹349 + GST.
If you have not applied yet, start with our GST registration service. If a tax officer has raised a query, the deadline tool above tells you your last date to reply.
Your ARN comes by email and SMS. The portal sends the acknowledgement to your registered email and mobile number within about 15 minutes of submitting the application. You submit it by signing with a DSC, e-Signature or EVC. Companies and LLPs must use a DSC.
No ARN yet? Check these three things.
| What happened | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| You saved the form but did not submit it | It is still a draft with only a TRN. A draft is deleted after 15 days | Log in with your TRN and submit it |
| Aadhaar authentication is not finished | The ARN is made only after authentication is done for every person named in the form. Do it within 15 days of getting the TRN | Finish the OTP or biometric authentication |
| You had to visit a GST Suvidha Kendra for biometric or document checks | No ARN is made until that visit is done, within 15 days | Book and complete the visit |
To see where your saved application stands, go to Services > Registration > New Registration, choose Temporary Reference Number (TRN), enter your TRN and the captcha, and enter the OTP sent to your mobile and email. The OTP works for 10 minutes. The My Saved Application page shows the status.
Most applications move on their own. The one that stalls is the one that gets a REG-03 query, and the reply has a hard deadline.
We draft and file the REG-04 reply for you, and this is included in every one of our registration plans, from ₹349 + GST. There is no extra charge to answer an officer’s query.
If your status shows Pending for Clarification and you are not sure how to reply, talk to us.
Send us the REG-03 notice and your ARN. We will tell you what the officer wants and what the reply needs to say.
If you chose the new simplified route (registration under Rule 14A) and selected Yes for it, the portal shows a slightly different status screen for that scheme.
Want this off your plate? We file your GST returns.
Once you start filing, you can check your GST return filing status and payment status at any time.
Go to gst.gov.in, click Services > Registration > Track Application Status, choose Registration, enter your ARN and captcha, and click Search. No login is needed.
ARN stands for Application Reference Number. The portal generates it when you submit your registration application and sends it to your email and mobile. You use it to track the application until your GSTIN is issued.
Yes. The pre-login route with your ARN is the normal way for a new applicant. Post-login tracking is not available to first-time applicants.
The TRN, a 15-digit Temporary Reference Number, lets you save and return to a part-finished application before you submit it. The ARN is issued after you submit, and it is what you track.
The ARN comes by email and SMS within about 15 minutes of submitting. If it has not come, three things are likely. The form may still be a draft, which is deleted after 15 days. Aadhaar authentication may not be finished for everyone named in the form. Or a biometric or document check at a GST Suvidha Kendra may still be pending. Log in with your TRN to see the status.
Go to Services > Registration > New Registration and choose Temporary Reference Number (TRN). Enter the TRN, the captcha and the OTP sent to your mobile and email. The My Saved Application page shows the status. This works after Part B is submitted.
No. The portal's tracking guide uses your ARN before login, or your TRN after login, and it does not describe a PAN search. Once you have a GSTIN, anyone can see your registration details with Search Taxpayer on gst.gov.in.
No. The ARN is the reference number of your application. Your GST number (GSTIN) is given only when the application is approved, along with your registration certificate, Form GST REG-06. In GST, ARN stands for Application Reference Number. Mutual fund distributors use a code with the same letters that has nothing to do with GST.
A low-risk application is usually approved in 7 working days. If it is flagged as risky or needs a physical visit, it can take up to 30 days. The simplified Rule 14A route gives a GSTIN in 3 working days after Aadhaar authentication.
The officer has raised a query in Form REG-03. You must reply in Form REG-04 on the portal, usually within 7 working days. If you do not, the application can be rejected.
Your application is filed and waiting for an officer to review it. No action is needed from you yet.
Read the reason shown on the portal. You can apply again, and in many cases you can apply to revoke the rejection or cancellation. A short call with us can tell you which route fits.
Track it the same way. On the Track Application Status page, enter the SRN you received when you filed on the MCA portal.
Yes. The GST portal never charges to apply or to check status. Only pay a fee if you choose a professional to handle the filing for you.
gst.gov.in par jaayein, Services, phir Track Application Status chunein, Registration select karein, apna ARN aur captcha daalein, aur Search dabayein. Login ki zaroorat nahi hai.
ARN yaani Application Reference Number. Jab aap registration apply karte hain tab portal ise generate karke aapke email aur mobile par bhejta hai. GSTIN milne tak isi se status track hota hai.
Haan. Naye applicant ke liye ARN se pre-login check karna hi normal tareeka hai. Pehli baar apply karne walon ke liye post-login tracking available nahi hoti.
Low-risk application aam taur par 7 working days mein approve ho jaati hai. Risky ya physical verification wali application 30 din tak le sakti hai.
Officer ne REG-03 mein query nikaali hai. Aapko portal par REG-04 mein jawab dena hota hai, aam taur par 7 working days ke andar, warna application reject ho sakti hai.
Portal par diya gaya reason padhein. Aap dobara apply kar sakte hain, aur kai maamlon mein revocation bhi file kar sakte hain. Ek chhoti call se sahi raasta pata chal jayega.
Submit karne ke lagbhag 15 minute mein ARN email aur SMS par aata hai. Nahi aaya to dekhiye: form abhi draft to nahi hai (15 din baad draft delete ho jaata hai), sabka Aadhaar authentication poora hua ya nahi, aur GST Suvidha Kendra wali verification baaki to nahi. TRN se login karke status dekh sakte hain.
Pehli baar login kijiye, 30 din ke andar bank account jodiye, REG-06 certificate download kijiye, aur har mahine ya quarter GSTR-3B file kijiye, chahe kaam na hua ho (nil return).
